RECRUITMENT OF STENOGRAPHERS

Applications in the prescribed format are invited for filling up following vacancies of Stenographers in E.S.I Corporation, Delhi State in the Pay bank of Rs. 5200-20200+Grade Pay Rs.2400/- plus other allowances as admissible to Central Government Civil Employees:

Total vacancies: 21 ( UR-13, SC-02, ST-02, OBC-04)

Age Limit: Between 18-27 years as on 18-02-2011.

Qualification:- i) Higher Secondary pass(pass in 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized board)
ii) A speed of 80 words per minutes in stenography in (English/Hindi) respectively.
iii) Working knowledge of computer including use of Office Suites and database.

Fee & Mode of Payment:-
A crossed Demand Draft issued on or after publication of this advertisement for Rs. 225/- (Rupees Two Hundred Twenty Five only); (Rs. 200/- Examination Fee + Rs. 25/- Postal Charges) whereas candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH/Ex-servicemen/Female applicants and employees of E.S.I. Corporation are required to pay Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty Five only) as postal charges drawn on any Nationalized/Schedule Bank in favour of E.S.I. Account No.1 Payable at New Delhi/Delhi.

NOTE:- 1. Fee/Postal Charges once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
2. Fee/Postal Charges paid by any other mode will not be accepted.

Scheme of Examination: The examination consisting of three parts which will be held at Delhi Centre.

Part-II: Stenography test at a speed of 80 words per minute in English or Hindi and transcription of the same on computer for one hour.
Part-III: Working knowledge of computer including use of office suites and data base for 30 minutes. Candidates who are successful in Part-I will be admitted to Paper-II and III, based on their performance in Paper-I.

ESI Act
The promulgation of Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 envisaged an integrated need based social insurance scheme that would protect the interest of workers in contingencies such as sickness, maternity, temporary or permanent physical disablement, death due to employment injury resulting in loss of wages or earning capacity. the Act also guarantees reasonably good medical care to workers and their immediate dependants.

Following the promulgation of the ESI Act the Central Govt. set up the ESI Corporation to administer the Scheme. The Scheme, thereafter was first implemented at Kanpur and Delhi on 24th February 1952. The Act further absolved the employers of their obligations under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 and Workmen’s Compensation Act 1923. The benefit provided to the employees under the Act are also in conformity with ILO conventions.

Selection Process : Based on bio-data, initial screening will be conducted to short-list candidates for taking-up written test. The written test will be conducted on 17-04-2011 at nine venues viz., Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Lucknow, Shillong and Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates short-listed based on the performance in the written test will be called for interview, the schedule and venue of which will be intimated. Candidates attending the interview will be reimbursed to and fro second-class train fare by the shortest route from the address given in the application to the place of interview.

Invitation to Machine Tool professionals to join the Advanced Machine Tool Testing Facility (AMTTF) as its Director.

The position and responsibilities:

Machine tool professionals are invited to apply to the post of Director, AMTTF to set up, operationalize and run the AMTTF along commercial lines, besides visualizing and planning for its future to become an important centre for machine tool testing internationally as well nationally.

The Director, as CEO of AMTTF, will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of AMTTF. He/she will also be required to prepare the work plans, budgets, facilities, manpower and other operations and execute them to the satisfaction of all stake holders. The Director will report to the AMTTF steering committee comprising industry executives and government nominees, which is in turn responsible to the governing council of CMTI. The position is a challenging one, requiring both technical and managerial experience in building a new organization from its inception.  

Qualifications and experience:

Intending applicants are expected to possess the following broad qualifications, professional skills, knowledge and capabilities: 

Must be preferably be a post graduate or doctorate in engineering with a minimum of 20 years experience in the machine tool industry, of which a large part must have been in design, R&D and testing. Thorough knowledge of machine tools and their performance, international standards, testing methods and evaluation is expected. Applicants should have worked in machine tool companies, R&D establishments or leading academic-cum-R&D institutions specializing in machine tools in India or abroad Capable of managing the financial commitments and generating the targeted revenue for the AMTTF. A flair for marketing the services of the facility among machine tool industry companies and generating testing assignments is required.

Capable of independently leading a team of qualified engineers towards advanced testing and research activities in machine tool technologies.
Should be conversant with machine tool evaluation with investigative approach towards accuracy specifications, Noise and Vibration, dynamic behavior, thermal analyses and productivity aspects.
Should have investigative approach towards machine tool testing, predictive maintenance and proactive maintenance.
Capable of providing technical consultancy to the machine tool industry in investigative and generic testing for product development, eventually leading to R&D activities in the AMTTF.
Overall knowledge and familiarity with the Indian machine tool industry, its companies, products and key persons is expected. Familiarity with the Indian manufacturing industries using machine tools is desirable.
Commercial acumen in budgeting, costing, preparing quotes for AMTTF services and negotiation is an essential skill expected.

Emoluments:
The post carries gross emoluments matching the best standards in the industry and will not be a limiting factor in deciding the selection.

Age:
There is no age limit fixed for the post, but the preferred age is 50-55.

Walk-in Interview for the post of Programmer and Psychologist in DBT sponsored project

Applications are invited for the post of (1) Programmer-1   (2) Psychologist-1 in the DBT research project entitled "A functional neuroimaging study of dyslexia in biscriptal Indian children" The appointments are temporary and co-terminus with the project.

(1) Programmer - One
Pay:  20,000/- (Consolidated) 
Qualifications : M.Sc (IT) or M.C.A or B.Tech (C.S.E.) or B.Tech (Non C.S.E.) with experience in Matlab or PGDCA with one year experience in computing.

Walk in interviews will be conducted on 24thJanuary, 2011 between 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 Noon 

(2) Psychologist . One

Qualifications : Masters degree in psychology from a recognised Institution or University. Experience with clinical populations will be an advantage 
Pay:  21,000/- (Consolidated)

ELIGIBILITY

    Ph.D. (NEUROSCIENCE)*

Master's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Science / Physics/ Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer application / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science/ Psychology
OR
A minimum of four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering / Technology / Medicine.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Shortlisted candidates after the written test will be called for a two-tier interview at NBRC. The final selection will be based on the performance in the interview. The dates for the interview will be intimated later, and will also be posted on NBRC website.
The decision of the screening / selection committee will be final and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the applicant. The candidates finally selected for the Ph.D. or Integrated Ph.D. programmes will be eligible for scholarship as per NBRC rules and will be provided hostel accommodation on a sharing basis.
