Bachelor of Siddha Medicine & Surgery (BSMS)
Eligibility:
a. Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the Siddha Course must have passed at the qualifying examinations after a period of 12 years of study with the following subjects. Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany and Zoology.
b. Candidates should have studied in Tamil Medium up to 10th Standard or any Higher Secondary Examination.
c. Should have passed Tamil as a subject in the 10th Standard or any Higher Secondary Examination.
O.C: Must have passed English and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the Science Subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology
B.C: Must have passed English and a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the Science Subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology
M.B.C: Must have passed English and a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate in the Science Subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology
S.C./S.T.: Must have passed English and a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate in the Science Subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology

About The Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University
The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University Act, 1987 received the assent of the President of India on 24 September 1987. By 1991, it was ordered that the Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai Act, 1987. This affiliating University started functioning from July 1988 and is governed by the said Act.
The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University is situated in Guindy in the Southern part of the City of Chennai (formerly Madras) in the State of Tamil Nadu, South India; about 6 km from the Chennai International & National Airport and about 12 km from the Chennai Central Railway Station.
It is named after the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, late Dr. M.G. Ramachandran (or fondly called as M.G.R.) by the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanithi.
