JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (JENPARH) - 2011                                                                        
For Admission to B.A.M.S. (Ayurvedacharyya), B.H.M.S. (Homoeopathy), B.Sc. Nursing, Physiotherapy (Degree) and B.U.M.S. (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery) courses in different Government/Private Ayurvedic/Homeopathic  Medical Colleges, Nursing/Physiotherapy and Unani Colleges/Institutes of West Bengal during the academic session 2011-2012 through Joint Entrance Test-2011 (JENPARH-2011) to be conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.

Last date for receipt of form: 25 March 2011

Date of Examination: Sunday, 24th April, 2011

Eligibility:
Applicant must be a citizen of India. 

Age: Not less than 17 years as on 31st December, 2011 for all courses.

(a) BAMS, BHMS, Physiotherapy and BUMS a: The applicant having passed / appeared / due to appear in the year 2011 at the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognised by the West Bengal Council of H. S. Education with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology  and also Vernacular or any other   5th subject.

(b) Nursing : Only female candidates having passed / appeared / due to appear in the year 2011 at the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognized by West Bengal University of Health Sciences with 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together with pass marks  in each subject individually are eligible.

Date of Examination: The written test will be held on SUNDAY, the 24th April, 2011.

Examination and Question Pattern: A written test will be conducted in Paper – I: Biological Sciences - 100 marks (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.); Paper – II: Physics & Chemistry – 100 marks (2 p.m. – 4 p.m.).

Residential Criteria : (a) BAMS, BHMS, Physiotherapy and BUMS: Candidates must have been residing in the State of West Bengal uninterruptedly for a minimum period of 10 (ten) years as on 31.12.2010 or their parents must be permanent residents of West Bengal having their permanent home addresses in the State of West Bengal. (b) Nursing:  For admission to government colleges, the candidates either have been residing in the State of West Bengal uninterruptedly for not less than 10 years as on 31.12.2010 or their parents must be permanent residents in the State of West Bengal having their permanent home addresses in the State of West Bengal. However, candidates of States other than West Bengal may be considered for admission to non-government Nursing Colleges/Institutions.

Reservation of seats: For SC/ST /PC candidates State Government rules will be followed.

How To Apply:
Intending candidates shall have to apply in the prescribed Application Form which along with Information Brochure will be available w.e.f.  15.02.2011 to 18.03.2011 from the Branch Offices of UNITED BANK OF INDIA at  Jadavpur, Sealdah, Old Court House Street, BESUS-Howrah, , Serampore, Bankura, Barasat, Bardhaman, Durgapur City Centre, Medinipur, Tamluk, Krishnanagar, Berhampore, Malda, Coochbehar, Siliguri, on all working days on  payment of Rs. 350/- (Rupees three hundred and fifty) in CASH.  The Application Forms and the Information Brochures may also be obtained from-Govt. and Govt. aided Homoeopathic, Ayurvedic and Physiotherapy Colleges on deposit of a Bank Draft of Rs. 350/- to be drawn in favour of “WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD” payable at Kolkata [for details visit the website: www.wbjeeb.in  or contact Central Selection Committee (ISM&H), Phone No. (033) 2333-0146/0249]. 

There is also a provision for obtaining Application Form along with Information Brochure from the Office of the BOARD through Postal request only upto 04.03.2011 by sending a Bank Draft of Rs.450/- (Application Fee Rs.350/- + Speed Post and other charges Rs.100/-) only to be drawn in favour of ‘WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD’ payable at Kolkata so as to reach the completed form by Speed Post to the Office of the Board on or before 25th March, 2011.

Application forms may also be obtained from the Board’s Office by hand only on payment of late fee of Rs.100/- only in addition to the actual cost of the form Rs.350/-  to be paid through Bank draft to be drawn in favour ‘WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD’ payable at Kolkata/Howrah on 21.03.2011 and 22.03.2011 respectively. The Application form once purchased cannot be returned or replaced.
