How To Apply:

The Information Bulletin and Application forms may be obtained form the office of the Registrar, Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Fisheries University Road, Seven Bungalows, Andheri (W), Mumbai-400061 by submitting a bank draft of RS.350/- drawn in favour of “ICAR Unit, CIFE, Mumbai” payable at SBI, Versova or against cash payment at their sale counter against Rs.300/-. The application form and information bulletin can also be downloaded form CIFE website: www.cife.edu.in. However, such application shall be submitted along with the demand draft for Rs. 300/- as mentioned above.

The Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE) is the only Deemed University for fisheries in India. It is an institution of higher learning for fisheries science in India. CIFE has over four decades of leadership in HRD with its alumni fuelling the development of fisheries and aquaculture world wide, and has notable research and technological advancements to its credit.

The institute is one of the four main institutes under the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR); the other three being the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), The National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) and the Indian Agriculture Research Institute (IARI)

A total of four subcentres operate under CIFE, including ones at Kolkata (West Bengal), Rohtak (Haryana), Kakinada (Andra Pradesh) and Powerkheda (Madhya Pradesh).
