Applications are invited in prescribed format from the Indian citizens and the candidates of other categories recognized by Govt. of India for filling up of following 29 vacant posts (existing 5 and anticipated 24) of Civil Judges (Entry Level) under Chhattisgarh Lower Judicial Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2006.

1) Civil Judges (Entry Level)

Class-Class II Gazetted

Pay Scale : 27700-770-33090-920-44450-1080-44770. In addition to this D.A. and other allowances shall be payable as per the rate admissible from time to time.

Essential Qualification-Bachelor degree of Law from a recognized University. Degree must be obtained till the last date of receipt of application in the Registry i.e. 8th April 2011.

Age Limit- The candidates must attain the age of 21 years but not the age of 35 years on the 1st day of January 2012.

Application form for the Civil Judge (Entry Level) Preliminary Examination 2011 is available on our website i.e. www.cghighcourt.nic.in.

Last date for submission of duly filled & signed application is 8th April 2011 till 5:00 P.M. It is the responsibility of the applicant that his/her application must reach the Registry office by 5:00 p.m. on the last date. The applications can also be submitted by dropping it in the "Box" kept therefor in the Registry office during the office hours i.e. 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on every working day till the last date. The applications received in the Registry office by post by 5:00 p.m. on the last date shall only be entertained. Registry will not be responsible for the postal delay.

Admit-card : The Registry will send through Under Certificate of Posting the admit-cards to all the applicants whose duly filled in application forms reach the Registry Office by the last date within time. Duplicate admit card will not be issued by the Registry. If a candidate does not receive admit card issued by the Registry 7 days prior to the date of the examination, he/she can download the admit card from our website.

For Main Exam-Bilaspur

The final selection will be on merit on the basis of total marks obtained in the written (main) examination and interview. The decision of the High Court with regard to calling the candidates for interview will be final. Maximum 15 marks is fixed for interview.

For the aforesaid post the written examination will be conducted in 3 parts by the Registry. In the first part the Preliminary Examination shall be conducted to restrict the number of candidates for Main Examination.

The relatively more meritorious candidates from among those who appeared in the Preliminary Examination in the ratio of 1:10 having regard to the number of vacancies shall be declared qualified for appearing in the Main Examination. The candidates obtaining equal marks as obtained by the last qualified candidate shall also be declared as qualified, though in consequence the number of candidates declared as qualified exceeds the parameter of 10 times. The same procedure will be adopted for interview in the Main Examination while declaring the candidates qualified on the basis of merit possibly three times against the number of vacancies.

There shall be a screening test in the Preliminary Examination to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination. The mark sheet for Preliminary Examination will not be issued, nor the marks obtained in that examination will be added while preparing merit list of the main examination.
