INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSTS
1) (Vacancy No.11030501612) Four Deputy Directors (Mechanical) in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Out of four posts, one post each is reserved for SC & OBC candidates. The posts are also suitable for Physically Handicapped persons with disability viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor disability / Cerebral Palsy with OL (One Leg affected).
Qualifications : Essential :
Educational : A- i) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute or equivalent ; and ii) Five years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity in a technical Organization / Industrial concern in production of light engineering stores. OR B- i) Master of Engineering / Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute or equivalent; and ii) Three years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity in a technical Organization / Industrial unit engaged in production of light engineering stores.
Desirable : i) Knowledge of modern production techniques like Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing, quality management systems like total Quality Management, Environment Management Systems, Total Production Maintenance(TPM) etc. ii) Two years’ administrative experience.
Duties : To visit small scale units and to advise supervisory staff and workers in different technical problems which confront them in the manufacture of light engineering products, such as cycles, sewing machines etc. and also to suggest improved and economic techniques of production, proper use of materials and correct type of machinery and tools suitable for the purpose of demonstration etc. To plan production in engineering industry. To manage production / extension centres technically as well as administratively. Manufacture of different light engineering products.
2) (Vacancy No.11030502612) Four Assistant Directors (Grade-I) (Electronics) in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Out of four posts, one post is reserved for OBC candidates. The posts are also suitable for persons with disability viz. Orthopaedically Handiciapped / Locomotor disability / Cerebral Palsy with One Leg Affected(OL) or Hearing Handicapped.
Qualifications : Essential :
A. Educational : Degree in Electronics or Telecommunication Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.
B. Experience : Three years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a technical or industrial concern in the development and production of electronic components, equipment and instruments.
Desirable : Should have knowledge in the latest techniques of production and use of modern machinery and equipment as applied to electronic industry.
Duties : To advise and take suitable measures for the development of Electronics industries in the Small Sector. To co-ordinate various agencies for establishment and development of electronics industries in the field of Small Scale Sector. To visit small-scale units in the trade for technical and other assistance. To prepare model schemes for manufacture of different electronic items.
3) ( Vacancy No.11030503412) Three Deputy Directors (Export Promotion) in the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Of the three posts, one post each is reserved for SC & OBC candidates. The posts are also suitable for Physically Handicapped candidates with disability viz. Orthopapedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy[One Leg Affected(OL)].
Qualifications : Essential :
A. Educational : Master’s degree in Economics or Commerce with specialization in
Business Administration / Export Promotion from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent.
B. Experience : Five years’ experience in a managerial capacity in Government / Industrial / Business concern in the field of Export Promotion.
Desirable : i) Institutional training in foreign trade. ii) Administrative experience .
Duties : To assist the Director (Export Promotion) in carrying out all his duties. To identify export worthy MSME Products and Potential foreign markets. Collection and compilation of export statistics and export from MSME. Preparation of syllabus for export marketing courses conducted by MSME and rendering export consultancy. To carry out work relating to participation in trade fairs, exhibitions, promotion of export and Commodity studies.
4) (Vacancy No.11030504212) Four Junior Scientific Officers, Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy). Out of four posts, one post is reserved for OBC candidates. The posts are also suitable for Physically Handicapped persons with disability viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor disability / Cerebral Palsy[ One leg affected(OL)].
Qualifications :
Essential : Educational :
A- i) Master’s degree in Physics with Electronics as a subject or degree in Telecommunication Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Two years’ experience in Manufacture / Inspection / Development / Maintenance of Electrical / or Electronics Instruments. OR
B- i) Master’s degree in Physics or Chemistry with specialization in spectrography of a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Two years’ experience in Analysis of Metals and Alloys by Spectographs OR C - i) Master’s degree in Physics / Chemistry or degree in Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Two years’ experience in instruments Test Laboratory, Research / Design and Development / Inspection.
Duties : In-charge of a particular section looking after the day to day scientific activities. Daily allocation of duties to the Scientific Staff working under him. Monitors and guides the Scientific Staff in carrying out analysis / tests of the samples received on regular basis. He himself carries out the analysis / tests for certain critical samples / jobs as per the requirement. Preparation and signing of test reports. Calibration and Maintenance of the equipment. Maintenance of log books, requisitions and reports. Supervises good house keeping of the section and around.

3. PAY SCALE & CLASSIFICATION : (Figures in bracket at the end of the pay scale indicate the approx total emoluments(per month) excluding TA and HRA at the minimum of the scale).

b) Rs.15600-39100+Rs.6600 (Grade pay)(T.E. Rs.32190 ) Group A Gazetted for the posts at Item Nos.1 & 3 above.
c) Rs.9300-34800+Rs.4800(Grade pay)(T.E Rs.20500) Group B Gazetted for the posts at Item No.4 above.
4. AGE LIMIT AS ON NORMAL CLOSING DATE :
a) Not exceeding 40 years for the posts at Item Nos.1 & 3
b) Not exceeding 35 years for the posts at Item Nos. 2 & 4.
N.B. The age limit shown against all Item Nos. is normal age limit. Age is relaxable for SC candidates upto 5 years and upto 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. AGE IS ALSO RELAXABLE FOR CENTRAL/UT GOVT SERVANTS UPTO FIVE YEARS AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY GOVT OF INDIA FROM TIME TO TIME. NOTE : Candidates with disabilities[ as indicated against Item(s)] can apply to the respective posts even if the post is not reserved for them. 6. PROBATION: The persons selected will be appointed on probation as per rule.
About UPSC
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is a constitutional body in the Republic of India. The commission is authorized to conduct examinations for appointment to the various Civil Services of India. The Indian Constitution (Part XIV - Services Under the Union and the states - article no. 315 to 323) provides for a Public Service Commission for the union and a Public Service Commission for each state. The Chairman and other members of the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) are appointed by the President of India. At least half of the members of the Commission are Civil Servants (working or retired) with minimum ten years of experience either in Central or State service. Every member holds office for a term of six years or until he attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier.
