Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
Eligibility:
Essential: Applicant must be a resident Indian National; should have studied and completed his/her course in the schools located in India in the preceding two years. Applicant should have been born on or before 01.01.1995.
Educational: Applicant should have passed Higher/Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and a pass in English for UR and 45% for UR-OPH and 40% for SC/ST/OBC.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION: JIPMER uses paper-based test administration (MCQ) for merit listing the candidates for the above admissions. Candidate has to appear for Entrance Examination to be conducted by JIPMER in 12 centres around the country on 5th June 2011, 10.00 am to 12.30 pm.

How To Apply:
Application-cum-Prospectus for MBBS course 2011 Session can be obtained by one of the following methods:
(i) From the counter of State Bank of India (SBI), JIPMER Campus from 09.03.2011 to 25.04.2011 (4.00 pm)
(ii) Postal request to Professor - Academic, JIPMER from 06.03.2011 to 18.04.2011 accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- for UR/OBC and Rs.650/- for SC/ST (should attach a copy of attested SC/ST certificate) drawn in the name of "Accounts Officer, JIPMER", payable at "Pondicherry". Two labels with candidate's address written legibly must be enclosed.
(iii) On-Line Submission through JIPMER website from 06.03.2011 to 18.04.2011. However online applicants have to send the printout with necessary enclosures so as to reach on or before 25.04.2011 -4.30 pm. Details are given in our home page.
Applicants desirous of obtaining a model question booklet of the JIPMER MBBS Entrance examination may add an additional amount of Rs.100/- to their Demand Draft along with A4 sized self addressed envelope.
JIPMER will not be responsible for any postal delay.
