RECRUITMENT OF SPECIALIST OFFICERS

Unless the system generated print-out of the registered application is received by post, along with Payment Challan, Photo and other relevant documents, the on-line registration is not valid.

Post Code-1: Network Administrator [JMG Scale – I]
Qualification:
First class / equivalent grade in BE / B.Tech (Telecommunications / Electronics) or equivalent with CCNA Certification.
Experience:
Experience in configuring network devices and implementing network solutions, security protocols, interfaces etc., should have sound knowledge of LAN/WAN and virtual private network, switches, routers etc. Work experience in Bank / Financial Institutions shall be preferred.
Job Profile:
Maintaining network and network equipments; network monitoring, and trouble shooting, adding network equipments to network, liaison with telecom service provider; ensuring maximum uptime of network, knowledge of HP OPEN VIEW.
Post Code-02: Database Administrator [MMG Scale – II]
Qualification:
First class / equivalent grade in BE / B.Tech (Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics) or MCA or equivalent with RDBMS certification.
Experience:
3 years of experience in the relevant field is essential. Candidates having experience in Banks / Financial Institutions in the relative area will be preferred.
Job Profile:
Database administration preferably in Oracle, Maintaining the database; Report generation; Rectification of problems in database; Trouble Shooting; Purging; Archiving; Back-up; Re-organisation of Database; Performance tuning; Defining Oracle Parameters etc.
Post Code-03: Systems Administrator [MMG Scale – II]
Qualification:
First class / equivalent grade in BE / B.Tech (Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics) or MCA or equivalent.
Experience:
3 years of experience in the relevant field is essential. Candidates having experience in Banks/Financial Institutions in the relative area will be preferred.
Job Profile:
Maintenance, monitoring and management of software and hardware etc. Applying patch, drive a project assigned. Be a Project Manager for Core Banking Sollutions / Network etc.
Note:
All the qualifications mentioned should be from a recognized University / Institution.
For posts, where experience is essential / desirable, it should be full time in the relevant field of the post applied for and will only be counted from the date of acquiring the prescribed qualification.
The job profile mentioned is only in brief. Bank reserves right to assign any other duties / responsibilities depending on the requirement.
HINDI KNOWLEDGE: The candidates shall acquire working knowledge of Hindi, if not possessed already, before completion of probationary period.

HOW TO APPLY:
The eligible candidates are required to apply ON-LINE through bank’s website www.canarabank.com. The guidelines for filling on-line application are as follows;
Candidates should check their eligibility prescribed for the post for which he / she wants to apply.
Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail id. In case, candidate is not having valid e-mail id, he/she should create a new e-mail id. This e-mail id should be valid for the duration of the project.
Candidates should have remitted the requisite fee in any branch of Canara Bank and should have details of payment made.
Please note that without valid payment details, on-line registration of application will be summarily rejected. For details of payment, check Point No.5.
Candidates are required to visit the Bank’s website www.canarabank.com->Careers->Positions Open page and click on the link “Recruitment Project –1/2011 – Specialist Officers” and apply for the appropriate post. Alternatively, candidates can click the link “Recruitment” scrolling in the “News Update” column, which leads to the Recruitment Page.
The link for registration of application will be open on our website on 20.04.2011 and closes on 13.05.2011 (both dates inclusive).
After filling in all the required particulars, candidates shall submit the application on-line.
There is provision to modify the submitted on-line application. Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct the details in on-line application, if any. This Modification facility shall be available after 2 days of registration & up to 15.05.2011. Modification will be allowed only 3 times. After the last date, no modification will be permitted. No modification should be made, after sending the application by post.
Candidates should take utmost care to furnish the correct details while filling in on-line application.
After applying on-line with correct details, the registered candidates should obtain a system generated print-out of the registered application.
A recent passport size photograph should be pasted on the system generated print-out of the registered application and sign across it.
The system generated print-out of the registered application has to be signed by the candidates at appropriate place and the same application along with original payment challan and attested copies of the certificates / documents has to be sent to the address specified below.
Candidates should retain a copy of on-line application print out along with Registration Number & Password safely for their records.
Candidates applying for more than one post are required to remit application fee / postage for each post separately and are required to apply on-line for each post separately. Each application should be sent to the specified address in separate cover along with payment challan & other relevant documents.
System Generated Print-out of the Registered Application, duly complete in all respects should be sent by ORDINARY POST only in a cover superscribed “Print-out of the Application for the post of ________________ Post Code _____ in Canara Bank”
The application should be sent to the address printed on the registered System Generated Print-out of the Registered Application.

Canara BankLate Sri Ammembal Subba Rao Pai established one fund named as Canara Bank Hindu Permanent Fund in year of 1906, at Mangalore. At that time he may not had idea what his organization will achieve, but over 100 years his newborn organization has become one of the oldest and largest bank in India. Initially stated as Canara Bank Hindu Permanent Fund, its name was soon changed as Canara Bank Limited in 1910. Canara Bank made a record by starting 100 branches in a single year and which was highest in last two decades. The bank has 1911 branches of” anywhere banking”.
Currently its 73% shares are owned by Government of India. Canara Bank offers all kind of services to its customers. It has modernized all its branches, which allows it to provide same quality service to all customers across India. Canara Bank has also been renown by many awards and other recognitions. Forbes magazine listed Canara Bank in its list of banks all over world at 1299th place. This giant bank is currently serving around 22 million customers through all its branches.
