Recruitment of Junior Scientist at NIB.
The National Institute of Biologicals is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India with state-of-the-art laboratories equipped for analysis and characterization of recombinant proteins, blood products, enzymes, hormones, antibodies,vaccines and other biological medicines, diagnostic reagents and kits.Applications are invited for the following posts of National Institute of Biologicals on Direct recruitment basis:
1) Junior Scientist

Scale of pay : Rs.6500-200-10500/-

Max. Age limit : 35 yrs.
Eligibility criteria
Essential:M.Sc in Microbiology/Pharmacology/Bio-chemistry/Serology/Bio-technology/ Molecular Biology or allied biological sciences or equivalent.
General Information:
Application giving particulars as per the prescribed format with a passport size photograph on the application at the space indicated with attested copies of certificates should be sent to the Director, National Institute of Biologicals (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare) A-32, Sector-62, Institutional Area Noida U.P. 201 307.
The envelope containing the application form should be superscripted with “Application for the post of “_________________.”
The post carries usual allowances including CCS(Pension) Rules 1972 as admissible to Central Government Employees of corresponding status. However, those joining afresh will be covered under the New Pension Scheme effective from 01-01-2004
Age relaxation is applicable in case of Central/State Govt. employees and SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per the Govt. of India orders.
Qualification is relaxable at the discretion of the competent authority in case of candidates who are otherwise well qualified.Experience can also be relaxed at the discretion of the competent authority in case adequate number of applications from candidates with requisite experience is not available.
The Institute reserves the right to fill up or not to fill up any or all the posts.
SC/ST/OBC candidates may attach attested copies of the category certificate as per the prescribed format of Govt. of India orders with the application.
Those employed in Central/State Government/Autonomous organization and Central & State Public Sectors undertaking/organization should apply through proper channel otherwise their application will not be considered.
The prescribed application format is available on NIB website www.nib.gov.in and the same can be downloaded and used.
The last date of for submission of application shall be 20th May, 2009.

National Institute of Biologicals has been established as an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOH&Fw)-Government of India. registered in January 1992 (vide No. S-22590) under the Societies Registration Act 1860. laid down in Bye-Laws of the institute.
The institute responsibly assures and reviews the quality of number of Biological products available through domestic manufacturers or imports. The operations are carried out in the state of the art Facility of the Institute and in close coordination with Government of India regulatory authorities as Office of Drug Controller of India, Indian Pharmacopeia's Commission.
With the current science and technology leading to the development of newer biologicals in the domestic market, the testing and specifications may vary for each specific products which requires an improved understanding of quality and safety issues.In recent years the licensing and quality control for manufacturer and National Regulatory Authorities alike has become even more complex. With this overall objective and to strengthen the regulations of biologicals in India, NIB, which is supported by the authorities constituted of Governing body and General body of the Institute plays a vital role.
