Sri Ramachandra University (SRU) MD Admission Notification 2011 ADMISSION TO POSTGRADUATE M.D. (FORENSIC MEDICINE) DEGREE COURSE
INTAKE : 2 per year
DURATION OF THE COURSE:
Duration of the Postgraduate M.D. (Forensic Medicine) Degree Course is 3 academic years.
Note: The Entrance Examination is conducted on All India basis and therefore candidates belonging to any State/Union Territory in India are eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination.
ELIGIBILITY:
Every candidate must (a) possess recognised MBBS Degree and have completed Internship(CRRI); and (b) have permanent registration of his/her name with any one of the State Medical Councils.
TUITION FEES:
Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees Six lakhs only) per year.
Hall Ticket
Hall Ticket for the Entrance Examination will be sent only to the eligible candidates on or before 25.04.2011. If any candidate, though eligible to appear for the Entrance Examination, does not receive the Hall Ticket, he/she may collect a Duplicate Hall Ticket on 29.04.2011 in person from the University Office by producing his/her identity card and a passport size photograph and proof for having applied for the Entrance Examination.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION CENTRE:
The candidates have to appear for the Entrance Examination at SRI RAMACHANDRA UNIVERSITY, PORUR, CHENNAI - 600 116 at their own expense.
DATE OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION :
The Entrance Examination will be conducted on 30-4-2011 (Saturday) at 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The candidates are advised to be at the Examination Centre one hour before the commencement of the Examination.
PATTERN OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION :
(a) The Entrance Examination will consist of 180 multiple choice questions (single best response) covering important aspects of the subjects prescribed for MBBS Degree Course with more thrust on the non-clinical subjects.
(b) The duration of the Entrance Examination will be 3 hours.
(c) All questions carry equal marks. There will be no negative mark for wrong answers. Correct answer must be shaded with ball point pen in the OMR Answer Sheet supplied along with the question booklet.
MEDICAL EXAMINATION :
The candidates provisionally selected for admission will have to undergo a medical examination at Sri Ramachandra University, Porur, Chennai - 600 116. Only those who are found to be medically fit will be admitted.
LAST DATE :
Entrance Examination application form duly filled in and securely fastened with the above enclosures may be submitted in person or sent by Registered Post/Speed Post/ Courier Service to reach : THE REGISTRAR, SRI RAMACHANDRA UNIVERSITY, PORUR, CHENNAI - 600 116 on or before 18-04-2011.
