FRESH ENTRY: Applications are invited for admission to Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology (4 years) session 2011-2012, through an entrance test to be held at Shimla, Dharamshala, Chandigarh & Delhi.
Total No. of Seats-- 60 (Sixty)
ELIGIBILITY: 10+2 with Physics, Maths with 50% Marks (45% SC/ST) or equivalent grade.
LATERAL ENTRY: Applications are also invited for admission to six seats under Lateral Entry Scheme from eligible candidates. 20 percent of the seats are reserved for sponsored candidates. The admission will be on merit on the basis of marks obtained in all the three years of diploma or B.Sc. degree with Maths & Physics.

ELIGIBILITY: Bonafide Himachali with 60% marks in B.Sc with Maths & Physics or Diploma of 3 years (after Matric) from H.P. State Board of Technical Education only or equivalent in any branch.
PROSPECTUS: The Prospectus can be obtained from the office of Director (UIIT), H.P. University on payment of Rs1000/-(on counter) & Rs. 1100/-(by post) in the form of Bank Draft payable to U.I.I.T, H.P. University,Shimla-171005.

About Himachal Pradesh University (H.P.University)
The University is situated nearly 5 km away from the town, at Summer Hill, a quiet suburb of Shimla in the vicinity of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study. Its beautiful surroundings present a panaromic view of snow peaked mountains and are ideally suited to pursue higher learning amidst rhododendron, silver oak, pine and deodar forests.
