IIIT-Delhi invites applications for admission in MTech in CS for 2011 in the following CS/IT areas:
Information Security
Data Engineering
Eligibility: MTech in CS is a very challenging program, which under-prepared students may find tough.
The minimum eligibility criterion for this program is B.Tech./B.E. in CS/IT/ECE/EE with at least 7.5 CGPA (out of 10) or 75% or equivalent. We expect the candidates to have proper foundations in algorithms and theory, good programming skills, in particular, systems programming, and ability to work hard. Requirements may be relaxed for candidates with relevant experience in the area of security or database.
MCA/MSc(CS/IT/ECE) degree is considered equivalent to the BTech/BE degree. Such students are also eligible to apply with the condition that in their undergraduate (i.e. B.Sc.) they should have Mathematics as one of the courses. The marks requirement is same as that given above for BTech/BE degrees.

Last date of application - May 12th, 2011, 5:00pm (Thursday)
DD should reach - May 13th, 2011, 5:00pm (Friday)
Screening results of shortlisted candidates - Latest by May 14, 2011
Test / Interview (At IIIT-Delhi campus) - Sunday, May 22nd, 2011
Admission Process: Based on the facts furnished in the application, a screening will be performed and selected candidates will be asked to appear for a competitive entrance process that includes written and programming tests and interview. Written test will contain objective and/or short subjective questions. The questions will cover a typical B.Tech. Computer Science curriculum. In the programming test, candidates will be asked to write and execute a program in one of four languages (C, C++, C#, JAVA). Based on the performance in written and programming tests, selected candidates will be interviewed.

About IIIT Delhi
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (aka. IIIT-Delhi or IIIT-D) was created as a State University by an act of Delhi Government (The IIIT Delhi Act, 2007) empowering it to do research and development and grant degrees.
The institute began with its first batch of 60 BTech students in 2008. Since then, it has come a long way with nearly 20 faculties specializing in diverse areas of Computer Science, and nearly 250 students consisting of 3 batches of BTech, 1 batch of MTech and 2 batches of PhD. In a relatively short time, it has earned a good reputation in India and abroad for being a center of quality education and research in IT.
