The Prospectus-cum-application forms can be had from 9th May, 2011 from University Campus, Gachibowli, Hyderabad-500032 or from regional/sub-regional centres and from Colleges of Teacher Education of the University on payment of Rs. 100/- through Demand Draft(by hand) or through D.D. of Rs. 150/-(by post). The D.D. should be drawn from any Nationalized Bank in favour of “Maulana Azad National Urdu University” payable at Hyderabad.

The Prospectus-cum-Application Form can also be downloaded from http://www.manuu.ac.in. Reservation for SC/ST & OBC candidates will be as per the Government of India norms. The last date for issue and submission of filled-in application forms is 30th May, 2011 EXCEPT FOR Ph. D. Programmes. 

Last Date for Ph. D. Programme is 4th July, 2011. Programme-wise details are available in the prospectus. Hostel facility would be provided subject to availability. Scholarship @ Rs.1000/- p.m. is provided to the students of Masters Degree Programmes subject to availability of funds. Establishment of the University

(1) There shall be established a University by the name of "Maulana Azad National Urdu University"

(2) The headquarters of the University shall be at Hyderabad.

(3) The first Chancellor and the first Vice-Chancellor and the first members of the Court, the Executive Council and the Academic Council and all persons who may hereafter become such officers or members, so long as they continue to hold such office or membership, are hereby constituted a body corporate by the name of "Maulana Azad National Urdu University".

(4) The University shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said name.

Objects of the University

The objects of the University shall be to promote and develop Urdu language; to impart education and training in vocational and technical subjects through the medium of Urdu; to provide wider access to people desirous of pursuing programmes of higher education and training in Urdu medium through teaching on the Campus as well as at a distance and to provide focus on women education.
