The Rajasthan Public Service Commission is located at Ajmer in Rajasthan.
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission performs the following functions :-
Consultation in cases of appointment of contract (for contracts that extend over five years)
Watching of temporary appointments (that exceed 3 months) and decide their continuance
Conducts six monthly examinations for IPS and IAS Officers. It also is responsible for conducting AIS Officers proficiency tests
Conducting Departmental Tests for various departments.
Rajasthan Public Service Commission also looks into various pension cases
Repayment of legal expenses
Various disciplinary cases
Rules relating to various services
Recruitment of personnel by transfer
Direct recruitment of personnel.
The first five functions are supplementary functions of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission.
