Background
National Training Programme (NTP) for C&D employees of Power Distribution Utilities and Electricity Distribution Franchisee is a mega capacity building and HRD initiative under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) which aims at providing need based skill development training to as many as 75,000 C&D category employees and 40,000 franchisees (existing and potential) across the country and utilities till the end of 11th Plan i.e. March 2012, Rural Electrification Corporation (REC)/ Central Institute for Rural Electrification (CIRE) has been steering its implementation.
Experience profile and Academic Requirement:
(a) Should have worked in a senior position equivalent to Divisional Engineer/Superintending Engineer / Chief Engineer and above in State Utilities or Chief Manager/Deputy General Manager/General Manager and above in Schedule ‘A’ Central Power Sector PSUs and have experience of working at least 5 years in middle/senior level
(b) B.E/B. Tech/M. Tech. in Electrical Engineering Requirements:
• Good Knowledge of Electricity Distribution Management including Technical issues and Resolutions.
• Should possess capability to plan, monitor, execute schemes.
• Should have good communication skills
• Should be able to deliver lecture sessions in English and Hindi, Knowledge of additional languages knowledge shall be desirable
• Need to travel across the country with short notice for coordination and delivery of training programmes etc.
• The applicant should be in the age group of around 60 - 65 years
• Should have working knowledge on computers
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for planning, monitoring and achieving Nation wide training delivery targets set by CIRE/REC
• Responsible for obtaining MIS data from Utilities
• Coordinate with power utilities/training institutions in organising training programmes
• To prepare the reports periodically or as and when required
• Should prepare Power Point Presentations
• Deliver lecture sessions in National Training Programmes for Franchisee and C&D Employees
• Developing and updating Course Materials
• Maintain effective liaison with stake holders such as utilities, training institutions
• Development of teaching aids, case studies, success stories etc.
Method of Selection:
• The selection will be made on the basis of the personal interaction by a committee, subject to satisfying above condition.
• The candidates may prepare Power Point Presentation on an assigned topic before the interview board to demonstrate the knowledge of computer applications.
