Eligible candidates are invited for WALK IN INTERVIEW at this Institute for the following temporary positions in the MoES – sponsored “Drugs from the Sea” project. 

ITEM 1: JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW

Duration : Till March 31, 2012

Emoluments : Rs. 16,000/ month plus 30% HRA 

Qualification

Essential : Master’s degree in Fishery Science/ Biosciences/ Biochemistry/ Organic chemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology and allied Science. 

Desirable : i) Working background on aspects of aquatic biotoxins /bioactive substances/biopharmaceuticals; sponges/ sea anemones/ seaweeds; seagrasses/ seahorses.

ii) Proficiency in computer usage;

iii) Seaworthiness and willingness to take up strenuous field work and prolonged sea voyages.

General Instructions: 

1) The eligible candidates may attend the WALK IN INTERVIEW to be held on
31st March 2011                              at 14:00 hrs along with biodata and original Certificates/ Mark sheets, etc. Documentary evidence of experience/ working background such as dissertation/ publication, etc. should also be produced.

2) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

3) The above positions are PURELY TEMPORARY on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project or may be terminated earlier. 

4) In the event of being selected candidates must join the project with 10 days notice.
