Filling up of the post of Financial Advisor (FA) in National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) (Rs.37,400-67,000/- plus Grade Pay Rs.10,000/-), on deputation basis.

It is proposed to fill up the post of Financial Advisor (FA) likely to fall vacant w.e.f. 1.8.2011 in National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), with Headquarters at New Delhi in the Pay Scale of Rs.37,400-67,000/- plus Grade Pay Rs.10,000/- (Joint Secretary level). The eligibility criterion is given in Annexure-I. The pay and other conditions of service of the selected officer will be regulated in accordance with Department of Personnel and Training., OM No. 8/8/2009-Estt.(Pay-II) dated 17-06-2010, as amended from time to time.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), headed by the Prime Minister of India, is the Apex Body for Disaster Management in India. The setting up of the NDMA and the creation of an enabling environment for institutional mechanisms at the State and District levels is mandated by the Disaster Management Act, 2005. On 23 December 2005, the Government of India enacted the Disaster Management Act, which envisaged the creation of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), headed by the Prime Minister of India, and State Disaster Management Authorities (SDMAs) headed by respective Chief Ministers of the States, to spearhead and implement a holistic and integrated approach to Disaster Management in India.
