How To Apply:
Application forms and prospectus may be purchased from the Institute Students’ Office by paying cash on a working day (Monday to Friday, 9.15 a.m. to 5.45 p.m.) or via post by sending a bank draft of Rs. 200 (non-refundable) payable to Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) at Mumbai to the Students Office, IGIDR, Gen. A.K. Vaidya Marg, Santosh Nagar, Goregaon (East), Mumbai 400 065 (E-mail: soffice@igidr.ac.in). Payment in any other form will not be accepted. The request for the application form in plain paper, along with the candidate's name, date of birth, sex, address, academic qualifications, choice of test centre must reach IGIDR by March 18, 2011.

It is strongly suggested that the applicants should use the online facility.

Online Admissions: Candidates can fill the application form online the website link for admission. There is no application fee for the candidates applying online.

Last date for issue of application forms by post: March 18, 2011

The Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research is a research institution dedicated to promoting scientific research on the developmental issues facing India. It was founded by an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
Located at Goregaon (east),the institute is at 20 minutes distance by public bus from the Goregaon railway station in Mumbai suburban railway system and 30 minutes drive from Mumbai’s national and international airports. The institute has a 14-acre (57,000 m2) campus campus, whose architecture is enthused by the historical Elephanta Caves and Jogeshwari Caves.
