MODE OF ENTRANCE TEST :

The AIPGMET-II 2011 will be of three and half hours duration containing 300 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Questions will be of single best response objective type with four answer options. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. There shall be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The Examination will be conducted in English.

The Entrance Test shall be of the standard of M.B.B.S. Examination and shall cover all the subjects of the M.B.B.S. course. The subject wise distribution of MCQs will be as follows.

ELIGIBILITY:

The candidate must be an Indian

National. Nationality certificate issued by the District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate / valid passport shall constitute proof of nationality.

The candidate must have passed M.B.B.S Examination from a recognized medical college and should have obtained final registration either from the Medical Council of India, New Delhi or Maharashtra Medical Council concerned State Medical

HALL TICKET

Hall Tickets carrying photograph of the candidates shall be issued to the candidates who are eligible to appear for the EntranceTest.

The candidates will have to collect Hall Tickets from the Office of the University on 21st & 22ndApril, 2011

The Hall Ticket must be presented in the Examination Hall for verification of candidate's identity when instructed by the invigilator to do so and also at the time of counselling. The Hall Ticket is not transferable.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of inter-se-merit of the candidates taking into consideration the preference given by the candidate and availability of seat in the branch/ discipline of his choice when it is his turn for counselling.

Tie Breaker

In case of equal marks at AIPGMET-II 2011 inter-se-merit of the candidates will be determined by applying following tie breaker rules :

a) First Level : A Candidate securing higher percentage of marks in the aggregate of marks at the First, Second and Third M.B.B.S. (Part I & II) Examinations taken together will be preferred. If the tie still persists, then :

b) Second Level: A candidate securing higher percentage of marks in the Third M.B.B.S. (Part I & II) Examination will be preferred. If the tie still persists, then

c) Third Level: A Candidate preferred. If the tie still persists then

d) Fourth Level:An older candidate will be preferred over a younger candidate.

DECLARATION OF RESULT :

The result of the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test 2011 in the form of merit list arranged according to the marks obtained by the candidates containing names of the candidates will be declared at 5.30 PM on at the University office and on website.

COUNSELLING:

The candidates will be called for counselling on 29thApril, 2011.

At the time of counselling the eligibility of the candidates for admission shall be verified from original documents and those found eligible will be offered admission to a course.

The candidate will have to appear for counselling at his own cost.

The Physical presence of the candidate for counselling is essential. Absence of the candidate at the specified time, date and venue will result in instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for admission and the University will not be responsible for it.

Asking a candidate to report for counselling does not mean that he/she will be admitted to the course. The actual admission will depend upon the course and seat availability when his / her turn comes in order of his / her inter-se-merit position.

Dr. D.Y.Patil Hospital and Medical Research centre is a teaching hospital attached to the Medical College. The Hospital is constructed on a sprawling campus admeasuring 25 acres of land. The Hospital is equipped with a gamut of state of art. 

Medical facilities required for primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare are provided. The civil cost of the building is Rs. 160.0 million and cost of the equipments and the furniture is Rs. 75.8 million.
