Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), Mumbai, invites applications from Indian Nationals for the following tenured posts (non-permanent) in the following Departments commencing from  01st August 2011.

A. SENIOR RESIDENT

B. CERTIFIED FELLOWSHIP FOR 2 YEARS

C. JUNIOR RESIDENT

CONSOLIDATED REMUNERATION :

Post M.Ch / DM Fellowship : Rs. 46,000/- p.m.

Post MS / MD Oncology Fellowship I / II : Rs. 40,000 / Rs. 42,000/- p.m.

Specialist Senior Resident (Post M.Ch / DM) : Rs. 46,000/- p.m.                    

Senior Resident I /II /III : Rs. 40,000/42,000 / 44,000/- p.m.    

Junior Resident I /II /III : Rs. 30,000 / 32,000 / 34,000/- p.m.

AGE LIMIT :   35 years (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC). Age may  be relaxable in case of exceptional merit qualifications, special needs for the development of the Department. 

IMPORTANT GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :

All posts will begin from 01st August, 2011.

Deposit : 

a) Senior Resident- I/II/III - Rs.40,000/-

b) Junior Resident – I/II/III - Rs.30,000/-

c) Fellowship   - Rs.1,00,000/-

Online application in the prescribed form only super-scribing the post applied for on the cover along with a recent passport size photograph affixed on right hand top corner with attested copies of all certificates should be forwarded to the H.R.D. Officer, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai – 400 012. Separate applications & Demand Draft should be submitted for each post. The Online application forms must be filed out completely in all respects. Incomplete applications and in-service candidates whose applications are not forwarded through proper channel in the prescribed application form given below will be rejected. The Tata Memorial Centre also reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reasons thereof. No other mode of application will be accepted.

Demand Draft Rs.500/- (Rs.125/ for SC/ST candidates), drawn in favour of Tata Memorial Centre, Parel, Mumbai.  Female candidates are exempted from paying of fees while submitting application.

Complete application with all supporting documents must reach HRD officer on or before 20.05.2011 in person, ordinary post, speed post or registered post only. Application received by courier or by other means after the last date will be rejected.

The Tata Memorial Hospital was initially commissioned by the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust on 28 February 1941 as a center with enduring value and a mission for concern for the Indian people.

In 1952 the Indian Cancer Research Centre was established as a pioneer research institute for basic research - later called the Cancer Research Institute (CRI). In 1957 the Ministry of Health took over the Tata Memorial Hospital. The transfer of the administrative control of the Tata Memorial Centre (Tata Memorial Hospital & Cancer Research Institute) to the Department of Atomic Energy in 1962 was the next major milestone. The Tata Memorial Hospital and Cancer Research Institute merged as the two arms of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) in 1966 as a classic example of private philanthropy augmented by Government support with a mandate for Service, Education & Research in Cancer.
